Nepenthes hamata is one of the 'Holy Grails' of the carnivorous plant world. With its unmistakable, monstrous teeth and striking coloration, no highland collection is complete without one. Nepenthes hamata is notoriously difficult to propagate, which is one of the reasons there are so few on the market. However, once established and given proper conditions, Nepenthes hamata is a surprisingly hardy plant that will reward any grower with a truly astounding plant. As the name suggests, Nepenthes hamata "Hairy Red" sets itself apart from regular Nepenthes hamata with a striking red coloration and thick hair covering its pitchers. These carnivorous Nepenthes pitcher plants are XS sized (~1-2" leaf span), but they are nursery-hardened and ready to grow. This is an extremely limited release of Nepenthes hamata, and supplies will not last.
