This Pinguicula butterwort for sale is known for its unusually large, deep pink flowers. Pinguicula 'John Rizzi' is a hybrid of unknown parentage, and was named by Peter D'Amato. It grows in rosettes of round, green leaves. Pinguicula 'John Rizzi' can grow well at room temperature on a sunny window. The surfaces of the leaves and flower stems are covered with droplets of glistening adhesive. Insects become stuck to these surfaces, and are then digested. These plants specialize in catching gnats, fruit-flies, and other small insects.

These plants are currently 1.5-2.5" across. They will be shipped bare-root with a 3" plastic pot and enough high-quality New Zealand long-fiber sphagnum moss to fill it.
