Sarracenia purpurea ssp. purpurea Caroline Co, VA

Plant came in great condition. It had around five pitchers all intact and new ones on the way. Would recommend!

I’m sorry to write this, but I was very disappointed in the plant and basically everything, delivery was good. The plant is the problem all the pitchers are almost completely black and there’s only one big pitcher, that’s all.

The plant I received was much more beautiful than the plant shown in the photograph of this plant on the website. I thought that might be the case, since the pitcher in the photograph looked like a young early pitcher. I have been looking for a S. purpurea that has pitchers that are mostly purple, instead of red or green, in color. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that the pitchers on the plant I ordered are mostly a pretty purple below the rim of the pitcher.
