Nepenthes glandulifera is a very strange and beautiful species of Nepenthes. The "gland" in glandulifera refers to the prominent clusters of black specks found on the leaves of the plant. These specks were originally thought to be a disease or evidence of a pest, but were later discovered to be nectar glands that produce a sweet scent. If that wasn't enough, the pitchers and tendrils are also covered in a dense, white fur, which gives the plants an animal-like appearance.

Nepenthes glandulifera was only discovered in 2002, and these are the first seed-grown plants to be released at the retail level.

This Nepenthes for sale will be shipped bare-root with a 3" plastic pot and enough top-quality New Zealand long-fiber sphagnum moss to fill it. Planting and growing instructions will also be included.
